What a lot of fun! The Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn hosted a quiz night on Friday, 30 November 2018, at The Faraway Tree Party Venue.
We had 81 participants who had their brains tickled and got to show off their wise owl knowledge.
The winners were "The Newbies", captained by Dr Frank Fish who received delectable wine and chocolate hampers for their efforts. The hampers were kindly donated by Snippets Hampers.
Second place went to "The Corner Patch" which was captained by Yvonne Holmes, and third place went to the "Boksburg Brainy Bunch" which was captained by Derrick Fox. They were both delighted with their prized sponsored by Macvad.
There were many serious hair pulling moments but many more regales of laughter.
Colin Thornton was also the lucky person who had their named pulled out the bag for the raffle draw. He received a Christmas cake that was donated by Laura Stewart of the Benoni Cake Decorators Guild.

We managed to raise in excess of R 5500-00 which will go toward the 328 Meals on Wheels meals that we will be providing over the festive season while their staff is on leave.
