The Rotary Ann's of Benoni Van Ryn had a heartwarming visit to the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH) Breast Clinic. The Ann's delivered more Knitted Knockers, Reach for Recovery Comfort Bags and beanies.
Knitted Knockers are special handmade prosthetic breasts made for women who have had mastectomies. They are soft, comfortable and when placed in a normal bra they take the shape and feel of a real breast. They are easy to adjust, filling the gaps for breasts that are uneven, and are also easy to adapt for the ladies going through the reconstruction process.
Reach for Recovery Comfort Bags are attractive and useful tote bags with underarm pillows, presented to ladies that have had mastectomies. The pillows are placed under the patient's arms giving them proper support during the recovery process.
All greatly appreciated by the amazing, special, friendly and dedicated staff!
All were made with love by the Rotary Ann's & volunteers 💗
